From Christina…regarding CYRUS…
Cyrus is a big boy who came into care in May of this year. He was very nervous at first and wasn’t sure about people. He wouldn’t go inside and only would hang out in the garage. But that changed quickly with a few weeks of love and encouragement. He is quite attached to those he loves and would like to live with a family or couple that would take him on walks and trips to the off-leash park, and of course, give him tons of love. He may need to be strongly encouraged to go inside the first time, but usually goes easily after that.
He isn’t kennel trained but he doesn’t get into trouble when he’s left alone in the house. He’s very good on a leash and a great listener. He’s not so good with aggressive dogs, but is fine with younger pups and cats (he will play/chase if they play).
He likes treats, playing fetch with rope toys and play dates with his best friend Murphy. He sleeps on his bed and doesn’t wake you up at night.
CYRUS is 7.5 years old, neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. This boy is not a farm dog where he’d live out his senior days outside. He is great without a fenced yard but would definitely need access indoors.
