CURLEY (#1087): HIS STORY…Exactly FOUR years ago today, CURLEY arrived with two of his brothers (Moe and Larry). They were found huddled together at about 6 weeks old, eyes crusted shut, noses full of gooey grossness, sneezing, coughing and too young to survive on their own while battling illness. A few weeks later, Larry died. We were devastated and kept a very close eye on the remaining two brothers. Moe eventually was adopted and is currently thriving. CURLEY still remains with us at the shelter. There is a reason why he’s overlooked. Curley is shy, so he often doesn’t come out for love when strangers are visiting. Curley also has one eye that looks smaller and sometimes will get red rimmed but it’s never been an issue. I think for Curley, it would be important for him to have another feline friend and someone who will give him loads of time to adjust. He loves sleeping with the other cats and also enjoys his playtime with them. He DOES love getting pets and being brushed but not a big fan of being picked up. He loves everyone he meets and is not a dominant cat at all. Curley has not been outside since the day he was found so would need to be 100% INDOOR ONLY. This sweet boy would do very well for a quieter, low energy family. Curley is neutered and current on his vaccinations. Four years is a long time and although he isn’t our longest resident (there are 4 others here longer than Curley), he deserves to find that forever he’s been waiting for since November 22, 2021.
